Have you ever wanted to challenge your boss? Put him or her out of their comfort zone? Maybe even watch them squirm a little? Well the good news is you can and we did – all in the name of charity of course!
Nine hundred and fifty Aussie children are diagnosed with cancer each year and the Children’s Cancer Institute aims to save the lives of all children living with cancer and eliminate their suffering. As the only independent medical research institute in Australia wholly dedicated to childhood cancer, their role is vital! The Bayfield Hotel Group has supported the Children’s Cancer Institute over the years, having raised 2.7 million dollars for the charity close to their heart.
This year, we teamed up with the Children’s Cancer Institute for their annual Dare the Boss Challenge. The premise is simple, raise funds for a childhood cancer cure and dare your boss to do something brave.
Our goal is to raise $10,400 this year and on Monday 31 October Kaine, Justin, Nick & Andy faced their fears by walking on glass, chopping wood with their bare hands and breaking an arrow with their necks! We were lucky enough to have the Today Show out to The Light Brigade to film it and help spread the word.
